I thought I'd take a little break from blogging about our vacation to Mexico and write a little post about attending our 2012 District Convention last weekend. What an awesome program it was! As always, it was the best yet and definitely "food at the proper time." It was very encouraging, but at the same time, we came away with a lot of things to think about.
Before we went, I downloaded the convention program from our website and used it to make a notebook, with each talk having its own lined page for me to take notes. I then took a couple of thick pieces of chipboard and covered them with cute scrapbook paper and then created a title with my printer & Cricut. I used Mod Podge on the front because the font I chose was a little thin, and I was afraid it would come off. It bubbled up a little because I didn't glue it on good (I didn't originally plan to Mod Podge it!), but I was still happy with how it turned out. It was really handy at the convention too!
I won't go into details about the actual convention here because, for one thing, I don't want to spoil the program for any of my brothers & sisters who haven't attended yet, but here are a few pictures from our weekend:

I love how your convention notebook turned out. :) Jealous of your cricut. We have our convention this weekend and I'm so looking forward to it. I've heard great things about the drama and seen little peeks of the new releases. Can't wait! I've got to remember to take pictures of me and Chris each day.
