Girls' Weekend

Last weekend I rode to Memphis with Debbie & Treasa for a girls' weekend at Vanessa's. We arrived in town around 11:30 and killed some time before going to Vanessa's since she was out running errands.

After lunch, we headed over to her house and hung out with all the other ladies that were there or arriving, including Vanessa, Gina, Linda, Jessica, and Becky. Around 4:30 we set out in a caravan to Vanessa's friend Malory's house. Once there, we spent the rest of the evening just hanging out and enjoying everyone's company. And of course, we had lots of good food and drinks, including some awesome punch that Gina whipped up. It was a fun evening, and I really enjoyed spending the time with some of my life-long friends.

That night, we headed back over to Vanessa's house. I believe we had 8 women sleeping over there! We all stayed up too late talking, but it was a lot of fun. The next day, we went to IHOP for breakfast and then headed home. Debbie, Treasa, and I made a couple of stops in Corinth for some bargain shopping. I found a few good deals, so I was happy!

Funny Bogart!

Bogart was totally relaxed on the love seat this morning. He lays like this all the time!

Bathroom Remodel & Work

I'm going to quit apologizing for falling behind on my blogging and just hope to get on here and post every week or two...if I do better, that's just a bonus! LOL Maybe when things slow down a little, I can get back to more frequent blogging.

Anyhoo...things have been busy around here lately. We're in the middle of a major bathroom remodel. Our friend, Matt, is doing the work, and he is nearly finished with our half bath. He painted and laid tile yesterday. It's looking great!! I've been taking pics every day and will be sure to post before & after shots when it is complete.

Work has been busy as well. For the past two weeks, I have been out on our production line helping to implement a new procedure in SAP. I'm spoiled to my air conditioned office, and so to go out during the hottest two weeks of the year has been torture to say the least. We have been under "Excessive Heat Warnings" almost every day, with temps around and just over 100 degrees and heat indexes reaching anywhere from 108-117. The humidity is brutal! Throw on top of that the fact that I have to wear steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs....no fun! Still, we have gotten a lot accomplished. The lady we are training is awesome and really nice, so that has been a huge plus. I've butted heads with not a few people who aren't pleased with the new processes, but such is life. I might just need to start wearing a hard hat as well. ;o)
