What's This? A Blog Post??

It's been a while. I keep saying I want to update my blog, but then I have just not been in much of a mood to write. The longer I've put it off, the more my desire to write slips away and the further behind I get on this little chronicle of our lives. I finally figured this morning that I'll just have to jump in and post something and maybe it will start coming back to me! Not to worry...I'm not going to do a play by play of the last two months...I'll just try to hit the high points! ;o)

Yesterday was our big year-end inventory at work. As the SAP Materials Management Functional Analyst (how's that for a title?) in my company's IT department, it was my partially responsibility to make sure everyone was ready to go bright and early Saturday morning. I stressed all week, making lists and trying to make sure I didn't drop the ball on something important that had to happen. Yesterday morning I arrived at 6:00am and set up in the conference room of our main plant, ready to assist where I could with questions and start keying in counts for that building as soon as they started rolling in. Thankfully, others came in to help so I wasn't there alone, but it was still after 6:30 that night when I got to go home. What a day!!

Another big thing that is definitely worth mentioning is our 13th wedding anniversary coming up March 8th. I can't believe it's been that long! To celebrate, we are heading down to Natchez, MS, for their annual spring pilgrimage. We have reservations at a bed & breakfast located in the historic district and plan to do some home tours. Hopefully we won't be too early for the dogwoods and azaleas that are always gorgeous down there. I can't wait!

Let's see...Back in January I officially joined Weight Watchers for the first time. I have followed the plan in the past using information I got from other people, but I figured that I would be more dedicated if I went ahead and did the real thing. We also purchased a Wii console & Wii Fit Plus, which I've been trying to use regularly. (I've been slacking in that area the last couple of weeks but plan to get back at it!) So far I have lost 9 pounds, so I'm pretty proud of myself! Now if I can just keep it up!

Something else going on is a big scrapbooking project I've been hired to do. I normally do not take on scrapbooking for other people, but given who it was that asked me to do it, I felt compelled. LOL Since the end project is to be a surprise gift for someone, I can't really go into details here, but be assured that I will be taking pictures along the way and hopefully one day I can share. I will say that the whole thing is centered around college football, and involves more newspaper & magazine articles than anything else, so this should be interesting!

Speaking of scrapbooking...I have really got to get back into that scrapbooking & crafting zone! (Especially given the project I mentioned above!) I have continued to read scrapbook magazines, look at online galleries, and purchase supplies, but when I actually sit down at my scrapbook table...nothing. I just can't seem to get that creative spark lit lately. Hopefully it will come back soon!! Any other crafters out there have this problem? Got any ideas??
