My Week So Far

My week so far has been nothing exciting. Monday after work, I got out and weeded the flower bed in the front of the house a little and then planted some marigold seeds in front of the irises out there. Then I tended to my straw bale garden and planted some dill in a large pot I have sitting out there next to my straw bales. For dinner, I roasted a chicken and fixed some veggies. Brandon had to work that night. I studied for tonight's review and went to bed early.

Yesterday, I was completely useless. I watched some TV with Brandon and then took a nap. We had popcorn for supper. (Real nutritious, huh?) Brandon had worked the previous five days, the last three of those being 12-hour night shifts, and he was sleepy and not really hungry, so that worked for us. I had wanted to scrapbook some but didn't. I didn't even water my straw bales because I thought it was going to rain, but it didn't. I guess they'll be OK.

That's about it. Thrilling, no? The rest of the week will probably be about the same. LOL I do have some things I want to get done before the weekend though, so maybe I can accomplish at least part of them. We shalll see!

Weekend Winding Down

My weekend's almost over.  It's been a good one...nothing exciting or anything...just good. :)  Here's a run down:

Friday after work I went with Jeannie & Madilyn to Tupelo.  We went to Petsmart, Walmart, Applebee's, and Kroger.  That's about it.  Kroger was interesting because Madilyn wanted to play with my camera.  All through the store, there were flashes going off.  It was so funny to download the pictures to my computer later that night and look at her perspective.  Yeah, most of them were blurry, but they were still pretty funny.  I might use one of Madi's photos for my picture of the day.

Saturday morning I met with the Tish group and went out in service.  I worked with Mary & Carol and really enjoyed myself.  It was a beautiful day and we were able to talk to several people.  I had a couple that I'm really looking forward to going back to.  It was a good morning!

Today was our special talk.  Brandon didn't get off work until after 8:00, so by the time he got home it was almost time for us to leave. Needless to say, we were a little late...not too bad, but still I hated being late for the special talk. Anyway, it was good, and there were several people there.

My uncle Jim had some things to do, so Brandon & I took Mary home after the meeting.  Brandon was exhausted from working all night, but we got out just long enough to look at all of Mary's beautiful irises that are blooming right now.  Of course, I had to snap a few pictures.  They were so pretty!

Gardening & a Recipe

Yesterday Jeannie called to say how overwhelmed she was with seedlings all over the place. Being the good friend I am, I went over to take some off her hands. Seriously, though, check out all her plants!

To see what I actually came home with, check out my gardening blog. After I took care of my new seedlings, I divided and repotted one of my pitifully neglected house plants. I left it outside today hoping it would perk up. Maybe I didn't kill it!

For supper, I made some stuffed shells. They were very tasty! Let me see if I can remember exactly what I did...

Spinach & Mushroom Stuffed Shells

12 oz. jumbo shells
1-2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. minced garlic
8 oz. button mushrooms, sliced
10 oz. frozen spinach, thawed & squeezed dry
Salt & pepper to taste
15 oz. ricotta cheese
8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1 pkgs. Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix
1 jar spaghetti sauce

Preheat oven to 400˚F. Cook shells according to directions on box. When they're done, drain and rinse in cold water.

Meanwhile, saute garlic and mushrooms in olive oil over medium-high heat. When they're nearly done, add spinach. Salt & pepper to taste.

In a large bowl mix ricotta, half of the mozzarella, and the dressing mix. Add mushroom & spinach mixture and combine well.

Put a little of the spaghetti sauce in the bottom of a large casserole. Spoon cheese mixture into shells and place in casserole. Top shells with the remaining spaghetti sauce and remaining mozzarella cheese.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

More Yard Work

Yesterday after work, I joined Brandon outside to work on our yard some more. He had done a lot before I got home. I think he had been outside all day. One major thing he accomplished was eliminating almost all of the leaves from our yard. He mowed and bagged them with his new lawnmower. It's nice to see the ground again!

While Brandon got back to work on filling in the ditch, I got my gloves, the pruning shears, and the wheelbarrow and went around front to tackle the beds there. I weeded, pruned, and cleaned out dead leaves. Now I need some mulch to put around my irises and daffodils. It looks so much better though!

New Blog for Gardening

I've decided to keep a detailed record of everything that I do in my new straw bale garden, as well as the results. If you're interested in following my gardening, check out that blog here.

Straw Bale Gardening

Today I started a new project: a straw bale garden.  I've been reading about this for the last couple of days and am really excited about it.  Basically, you grow your garden inside bales of straw instead of in the soil.  No digging!  I'll post more about it later, but here is a photo of my new garden, as well as a few links that explain more about the process.

The Case of the Disappearing Food

Does anyone else out there have a problem with their food disappearing from their department's refrigerator? This has been happening to me for a while now, and it's really getting on my nerves. If I put something in the fridge with my name on it, then I expect it to be there when I go back. Yes, I might leave it there for a week or two (we're talking prepackaged stuff, not leftovers), but one day I will decide I want to eat it. When that day comes, I'd appreciate it if my food was still in said refrigerator!

To make matters worse, there are days that I am packing my lunch/snacks in the morning and think, "Oh, no I don't need to pack [insert food item here] because I have one of those in the fridge at work already." And so I don't pack it. And then I get to work and get hungry, and whatever it was that I didn't pack is no longer in the refrigerator. And we don't have vending machines anywhere near our office, so I do without.

So, all you refrigerator-sharing folks out there: If it has someone else's name on it, DON'T EAT IT!

Our Weekend

Well, it wasn't anything exciting...I felt kinda crummy all weekend so I bummed around the house most of the time. I did get venture out Saturday very briefly to run into town for groceries (out of necessity) and also to snap this photo of our azaleas in bloom. I wish I had done it a few days ago because the edges of some of the flowers have started to brown. They're still beautiful though, so I wanted to share! :)

Yesterday after the meeting, I took Mary home and fixed some settings on Jim's computer, then I headed home myself, accompanied by two slices of homemade coconut cake that Mary had just iced with whipped cream (the real stuff) and coconut. Mmmm! Brandon had another bout of insomnia and was up all night Saturday night, so he stayed home. He had finally fallen asleep just before I left. I feel so bad for him when he does that - I know it makes him miserable to be so tired and just can't sleep. I can't imagine!

Anyway, so when I got home, I fixed some lunch and then curled up under a quilt with the book I checked out of the library recently. It was raining and cold and a perfect day for that sort of thing! I'm reading Nevada Barr's Endangered Species. It's pretty good so far. The main character is named Anna Pigeon. She's a park ranger and I guess every book has her at a different national park solving a murder. I've read a couple others and liked them. I want to start at the beginning and read them all. I think there are about fifteen.

Speaking of reading, I went to GoodReads.com yesterday and updated my profile and my books. If you like to read, you should check them out. It's a place to keep up with what you've read, what you want to read, get suggestions, give reviews, etc. Look over to the right-hand side of my blog toward the bottom, and you can see the two widgets I added from there. One shows what I'm reading and the other generates random quotes from some of my favorite quotes I've added to my GoodReads profile. Pretty neat.

So while I was reading, Brandon decided to run back to Lowe's to get the bagger attachment for his lawnmower. There was a special going on when he bought the mower that you got a free dump cart with the purchase. It normally costs $109. Brandon really wanted a bagger instead though and so asked if he could use the cost of the dump cart as credit against that. Great idea! They rang him up as if he were taking the cart, and then turned around and did a refund, putting the money on a gift card. Yesterday, he took his gift card, along with a $25 coupon from the paper and went back to Lowe's to get his bagger. He saved $134, so that was great! :)

It rained all day yesterday, but while Brandon was gone we had a nice little hail storm thrown in for good measure. It thundered and hailed for a while. Some of it was pretty big, but most was maybe dime-sized. True to form, when it started thundering, Sam took up her usual position hiding behind the bathroom door. Poor thing is so scared of storms! If it's just the least bit stormy, you can bet this is where you'll find her.

Well, that was our weekend...not real exciting, but at least it was a break from work!

New Lawnmower!

Brandon made a huge purchase for us yesterday: a new riding lawnmower.  We've always had my dad's hand-me-downs, which were pretty close to worn out by the time we got them.  The last one finally took out on us a couple of weeks ago, and so Brandon went to Lowes yesterday and brought home his new Troy-Bilt 18HP riding mower.  It really hurt [our checkbook], but he is so excited.  Our yard should start shaping up nicely now! :)

Plumbing, Yard Work, and a Sick Dog

Now that I've finally got all of our trip to Memphis blogged, I need to update on what's been happening since then. It's been a crazy week!

Monday morning I had to go in to work at 5:00 am to load inventory from Friday afternoon's count. I was supposed to do it over the weekend from home, but for some reason our home network wouldn't let me login to work. After such a busy weekend, getting up at 4:00 am was not fun. All I wanted to do when I got home was crash!

I was all comfy-cozy under a quilt on the couch around 5:00 Monday evening when we had a minor disaster in our backyard. Brandon had been digging around our septic lines (we were getting ready to run pipe out to the middle of the backyard to get hooked to the city sewer) when he hit our main water line. It was just barely below the surface, and he barely hit it, and it snapped in half. Aarrrghh!

SO, here we are with water gushing into our backyard...and to make matters worse, we couldn't get the water to shut off at the meter. I guess the handle was rusted or something...whatever the case, it was STUCK. Brandon was able to get in touch with our friend Robin, and between the two of them, they finally got it turned off. It ran for 20-30 minutes though, and so I dread seeing our water bill next month!

Since our water was off and would be until the next day, I took the load of clothes I had planned to wash that evening, my shower stuff, and went to my aunt Mary's house. I was able to wash some clothes and get a shower so that was good. On the way home, I stopped and bought a bunch of bottled water. Boy, we take running water for granted!! While I did that, Brandon drove to Lowes and bought everything he would need to fix the main water line and run the septic lines. Might as well do everything at once, right?

Tuesday, our friend Bobby came over to help Brandon repair the water line. He also helped dig the ditch and lay the pipe out to the manhole in our backyard. Thank you, Bobby!!! The city came out Wednesday morning and finished the job of actually hooking everything together. Now we're all fixed up...but our yard is a royal mess. :op

Yesterday when I got home from work, I went out to work in the yard with Brandon. It was a beautiful day, and our yard has been neglected lately. Brandon worked on filling in the ditch while I started a burn pile of all the dead limbs that have been falling off our oak trees, as well as various scrap wood we've had laying around. We got a lot done before we went in for supper. I was proud! :) In this picture (which happens to be my Project 365 photo for yesterday) you can see my massive pile of limbs and the ditch in the background.

With all this other stuff going on, we've had a sick dog for the last couple of days. Bogart has been vomiting for two or three days. When he's outside, he eats grass. At first, I thought it would pass, but now I'm starting to get concerned. He got into the garbage a few days ago and ate some aluminum foil and part of a plastic bag, and so I'm afraid that might be causing the problem. This morning I put food in his bowl, and while Duchess ate her breakfast, Bogart wagged his little nubby tail at me and went and curled up on the loveseat. :( I'm calling our vet when he gets to the office to see if we need to go in this afternoon.

Girls' Weekend Out in Memphis (Part 3)

When we got off the trolley on Madison to wait on the next trolley going down that street, Betsy was able to talk to the lady she had been talking to at Minglewood Hall. Unfortunately, she was told that there was no way we were going to get into the David Cook concert. :( So, now what would we do? Well, first we hopped back on the trolley with our handy-dandy day passes (best $3.50 we spent all weekend!) and rode the river loop. The sun was setting, so we knew it would be pretty...and it was. :)

Then we decided to try out a place that our friend Irina had told Betsy about: an amazing cheesecake shop on Main Street called The Cheese Cake Corner. We hopped off the trolley at the end of Main Street and had to walk about half a block in the dark...that wasn't fun. BUT when we arrived at the little cafe, it was all worth it! There was a line almost to the door, which told us that this place must be good. When we finally got up to the front of the line, we were greeted with about 15 different flavors (they have WAY more but rotate them through the case) to choose from. Decisions, decisions!

While we were waiting in line, we had talked ourselves into getting our cheesecake to go and heading back to the hotel. The only thing better than eating cheesecake is eating cheesecake in your comfy PJs! LOL So, back on the trolley we went. I had chosen vanilla chocolate cherry, Betsy got chocolate chip, and Melinda chose caramel pecan. By 9:00, we were back in our room enjoying our desserts. They were all WONDERFUL!

Sunday morning, we got ready and checked out of the hotel. We knew there must be a morning meeting at the KH over at Midtown next to our assembly hall. We drove by to check the sign, saw that their first meeting was at 9:30, and headed down the road to McDonald's for some breakfast. Just before 9:30, we made it back and went in to find a seat. None of us had ever been inside that Hall. It is absolutely beautiful! We met some friends very briefly and sat down before the meeting started. Afterwards, we met just about everyone else there. The congregation was very friendly!

When we left, we ran back down to McDonald's and changed clothes. (Well, we had to change somewhere and the hotel wouldn't give us late checkout!) Then we went downtown again to wait to hear from Irina. We were supposed to meet for Thai food, but the restaurant on Union we wanted to eat at was closed. So, we went around the corner and ate at The Flying Fish instead. It is a really good seafood place with great food and great prices. I had a grilled red snapper plate for $10.50. We'll definitely be going back! Even more than the food, we really enjoyed our time with Jamie & Irina. It was great to sit and talk and laugh with them over lunch.

After we all finished our lunches and had sat there talking forever, we decided we needed to go get dessert and take it back to Jamie & Irina's house for coffee. And just where do you guess we went? LOL It had started raining, so all got wet running to our cars downtown, and then we got wet again going into The Cheese Cake Corner. Again...SO WORTH IT! Between the five of us, we got four different flavors and shared. This time we had blueberry, coffee caramel, white chocolate macadamia nut, and butter cream. The only one I didn't care for was butter cream because it pretty much tasted like you were just eating frosting. But anyway, we spent a couple of hours with Jamie & Irina at their house, catching up some more. It was great!

Around 4:30, we had to get on the road back home. I hated to leave our friends, but we had a two-hour drive back to Tupelo, and then I had to get groceries and drive almost another hour home. And I had a 5:00 am workday starting the next day. Ugh! Anyway, so right down the road from Jamie & Irina's house is Memphis's first & only Dunkin' Donuts. Well, you know we just HAD to stop. It was my first trip to Dunkin' Donuts. We all got coffee & donuts (like we needed more sugar...but they were only $0.49!) for the road and headed home. It was a good weekend! :)

Girls' Weekend Out in Memphis (Part 2)

We left The Peabody and headed to Beale Street.  I had purchased a gift certificate for one of my favorite places on Beale - Silky O'Sullivan's - from Restaurant.com before we left, so we decided to go there for some appetizers.  There was live music playing when we got there.  We picked a corner table in the courtyard, right next to the goats (Yep, goats.  Click the photo for a better view!)  and ordered some barbeque nachos & cheese fries.

To go with our food, we also each ordered a margarita.  Betsy & I wanted ours on the rocks, but Melinda asked for hers frozen.  Our server failed to tell her that frozen margaritas come in a souvenir glass.  Boy, was Melinda surprised when her drink arrived!  In all honesty, the thing was mostly ice, and she didn't drink it all anyway.  We still had to pick on her the rest of the night!

Here we are before leaving Silky O'Sullivan's to explore Beale Street a little more before heading back to try for David Cook tickets again.

After Silky's, we went over to W.C. Handy Park.  There's always live music playing there, and this day was no exception.  We stood around and listened to the band play for a little while, and at the same time had some extra entertainment in the form of some very enthusiastic dancers right down front.  I wish I had gotten them in the picture!

That pretty much sums up our Beale Street experience.  We did walk a little more, but then we headed back to the trolley.

Girls' Weekend Out in Memphis (Part 1)

Saturday afternoon I met Betsy & Melinda in Tupelo. We grabbed a quick lunch at Chik-Fil-A and then hit the road to Memphis. Before long, we were checking into our room at the Crowne Plaza downtown. Woo hoo! We had arrived!

While I checked in, Betsy made yet another phone call to her new friend at Minglewood Hall, in hopes of getting the news that there were now David Cook tickets available. Unfortunately, her friend wasn't the one who answered the phone. Instead, she reached a hateful woman who informed her that the girl she normally talked to wasn't there and that there were not any tickets available. Not to be deterred, we decided to give it a bit and call again later when the nice lady might have made it back into the office. :)

After we put our things in our room, we walked a block over to the Main Street trolley station and hopped on the first trolley that came through. We bought day passes for $3.50/each and used those the rest of the night tho get around. Our first destination was The Peabody. Betsy & Melinda had never been, and I wanted them to see the ducks march. We got inside just as it was starting. It was really crowded so we couldn't see much, but we still enjoyed being inside the beautiful hotel. Here we are in front of the gorgeous fountain that the ducks spend their days in from 11:00-5:00.

After the lines in front of the elevators went down a little, we went up to the roof to see the Royal Duck Palace where the ducks spend their nights. The Duckmaster was still on the roof when we got up there. He was talking with a camera crew (We saw them later on Beale Street. I wonder what they were filming...), but gladly posed for a picture after they left. You can tell this is one man who loves his job!

Here we are on the roof. A young man came up and offered to take our picture. I am leary of handing my camera off to total strangers that come up and ask for it, but we decided we could take him if he decided to bolt with it. LOL!!!

More to come later!

My Friday

No word on our David Cook tickets yet.  I stalked my e-mail yesterday, hoping to hear something from Betsy or Melinda.  Oh well...It looks like we might be camping out at the ticket office with a bunch of crazy teenagers.  Should be interesting!  LOL

We had to do inventory on some of our wire harnesses yesterday, and the weather was starting to get really nasty.  When I was leaving my office after lunch to go do the wire shop inventory, I grabbed my keys with the intention of driving over.  Then I got outside and decided that I would walk because it was just windy and not raining.  So, I hoofed it all the way over there, the wind about knocking me down a couple of times.

Not long after I got into the plant and got what I needed for the wire shop's inventory, the tornado sirens started going off.  I went into the office to see what the weather was saying and about that time the bottom fell out.  The rain was pouring down and huge hail was coming down with it.  I'd say most of it was marble-sized, but there was some that was easily the size of a quarter.  It sounded as if it was going to beat the metal roof right off.  We were all told to go to the designated storm shelters (AKA the bathrooms).  We didn't have to stay in there long before everything passed, but it's always a little nerve-racking to have to do something like that.

Once I had what I needed from the wire shop, I headed over to the main office to meet Greg, our purchasing manager.  We went to the warehouse, where the two of us split up the count sheets and dug in and started counting. My list happened to all be in tubs on the bottom rack, so I ended up sitting in the nasty warehouse floor half the time. Can you say DIRTY?  Oh, and while we were counting, one of the ladies that works in that area showed me the hole in the warehouse wall (about softball sized) where one of the buggies had been blown into it during the storm!

Anyway, so we got all our inventory done.  Now sometime this weekend - probably Sunday night when I get home from Memphis - I'll have to login and adjust all the inventory so it will be ready bright and early at 6:00 am Monday morning when the warehouse personnel has to start posting goods movements.

I didn't get around to taking a picture for my Project 365 yesterday, so I think I'm going to take my camera to work one day next week and go take a picture of that aisle in the warehouse where I was working.  I'll probably get laughed at, but I'll just tell them it's for a project and sound all official and maybe they'll think it's a WORK project. LOL!

Well, I've got to get packed and get ready for service.  I'm leaving to meet Betsy & Melinda around noon.  I'm excited!

Mini-Update

Yesterday when I got home I had a small snack and watched a couple of episodes of Star Trek: Voyager (one of my new favorite re-runs) that I had recorded on our DVR, then I started tackling the mounds of clean laundry that I've been letting pile up. I think I folded and hung up clothes forever! I took a pic (which is still in the camera) of some of the clothes piled up on our bed with Sam sitting next to them, supervising. It will be my picture of the day for P365. How much more ordinary can you get?

With the Memorial being tonight, our meetings were rescheduled this week so that they could have a clean-up day at the KH. Brandon and I had intended to go help clean, but his foot has been acting up again this week and had started to swell by yesterday. I went by and filled a prescription for some anti-inflammatory meds that Dr. F wrote him months ago when he had the first episode. We never filled it before because the doctor gave him a shot, and that took care of all the inflammation on its own. So anyway, I filled that and Brandon stayed off his foot. I didn't even cook last night. We splurged and got take-out from Gill's Grill. I was craving their steamed veggies! So anyway, I'm really looking forward to tonight and seeing who is there!

Something else I'm looking forward to is Saturday night. Betsy & Melinda invited me to go with them to Memphis for a girls' weekend. We're trying really hard to get tickets for the sold-out David Cook concert at Minglewood Hall Saturday night. We've already got a hotel room and are going regardless of whether we get tickets or not. If we can't get tickets, there are still plenty of fun things to do in Memphis! :)

Crafty Sleepover (And Other Weekend Stuff)

Friday after work, Brandon & I went to Tupelo.  I wanted to check Hobby Lobby for some crafty things for our little sleepover Saturday night (more on that...), we needed groceries, and I really wanted to go out to eat.  We don't do that much anymore.  My initial craving was for Red Lobster.  It's been ages since we've eaten there!  But Brandon wanted Harvey's, a local restaurant with awesome food.  It had been years since we at there too.  Harvey's it was!  Brandon went with one of the nightly specials - steak & shrimp - but I chose the delta chicken.  YUM!

After dinner, we did a little shopping.  We went to Kohl's, Ross, Rack Room Shoes, and Dress Barn.  I really wanted a new dress for the Memorial coming up Thursday night, but I didn't find one.  Oh well.  I did get a new shirt and a new wallet, which I sorely needed.  My old one was about to fall apart, but I'm so picky about purses and wallets that it takes me forever to find one I like!  So I got that, and I was happy. Maybe I'll find a dress before Thursday night.

Saturday evening, Jeannie & Rachel came over with their girls.  Brandon was working the night shift, and so I decided to throw a little slumber party for the girls.  They've been wanting to scrapbook with us, so I thought this would be a good opportunity.   They were really excited, especially Colleen.  And I have to admit, I think I was looking forward to it as much as they were!

For supper we decided to make homemade pizzas.  Jeannie made up some dough the night before and brought that.  We had several different toppings, and each girl was able to make her own personal pizza.  I even made up some punch and let them drink out of some of our plastic hurricane glasses that we brought back from cruises we had been on.  Fun!

Eventually, the younger  girls started losing interest in being crafty.  They had brought some games, though, and so they played a game of "Cootie Bugs", as they called it.  After their bugs were all put together, they put on a little show for us with their bug "families".  Next, they borrowed my old camera and had a little fashion shoot.  They were so cute!  When they were winding down, I drug the futon mattress into the living room and loaded it up with pillows, and they settled down to watch a movie.

All of us stayed up way too late!  Rachel turned in with the kids around 1:00, but Jeannie & I had already gotten our second wind and sat at the table, scrapbooking & talking for another hour.  After 2:00 am, we made ourselves get up and go to bed.  I ended up calling Brandon and talking for a bit then finally getting to sleep around 2:30 or so.  When Duchess woke me up around 6:00 needing to go out, I regretting our late night!

At 7:00 I started the breakfast I had promised everyone: my mom's chocolate gravy.  While I cooked, Jeannie snapped this picture of the kids and dogs piled up in the living room floor, still snoozing away!  :)  When breakfast was ready, they all (well, all except Tori) got up and had a meal of chocolate gravy, biscuits (the frozen kind - I wasn't feeling that domestic!), and bacon.  Jeannie & Rachel had never had chocolate gravy and neither had their kids.  But everyone loved it!

After the meeting Sunday, Brandon & I took our speaker & his family out to lunch at the local Mexican restaurant.  Our friend Alicia and my aunt Mary went along with us.  It was a nice lunch and the food was excellent as usual.  I think our guests enjoyed themselves too.  It's always fun to get to know new friends. :)

Around 3:30 or 4:00, Jeannie picked me up and we went to Bill & Carol's house for a little while.  Rachel got there a few minutes before us.  All of the kids played together while Carol taught us how to make the unleavened bread that will be used Thursday night at our Memorial.  It was fun to help make it, and now we know how to do it ourselves in case we have to do it sometime!

After a cup of coffee and a little visiting, we headed back to Jeannie & Mike's house, where Brandon already was.  I was exhausted from our late night before, but the guys talked us into throwing a game of darts with them.  I hadn't thrown a dart in years and never have been good at it.  Jeannie had never thrown one at all.  I have to say that it was really fun, and we actually did pretty good!  I told them they shouldn't have shown us because now we'll be crashing their dart-throwing parties! ;o)

Feeding Time!

Here is my Project 365 pic for today (assuming nothing more exciting happens LOL). I bet you thought I had quit, didn't you? ;o) Granted, I have forgotten to take a daily picture a few times, but all in all I'm sticking with it! I should have some layouts to share soon.

Anyway, regarding this particular picture, my kitties Sam & Beldar get either a pouch or half a can of moist food every morning. If I give them more than that, it doesn't get eaten. They have dry food in their bowls at all time, but in the morning this is their little treat. Sam knows when I get out of the shower it's time to eat and commences crying and following me around until she's rewarded with her Nutro wet food.

Our Dunkin Donuts coffee was delivered Monday. I don't think I realized how much five pounds of coffee beans really was until this monstrous bag arrived on our doorstep. It took 4 different Tupperware containers, plus a Mason jar, to contain it all! I'm definitely going to invest in a large airtight canister or another piece of Tupperware's Modular Mates (mine are all used for flour, sugar, etc.) to put it all in. Gotta keep it fresh, after all!
